It's the real me
I was once a college guy who knows nothing in life but burning midnight candles to keep enjoying privileges of a so-called scholar. Four years of struggle taking Accountancy wasn't a waste for I emerged after the last dust settled as a graduate with flying colors. At a very young age of 20, I was employed in a certain catholic school in Manila as a Computer Teacher and an Accounting Staff. While working, I also devoted some time in taking Education course. Working and schooling at the same time is definitely a tough job to do but I maintain the equilibrium in managing both tasks. After one year of being in the academe, there was a sudden twist in my plans, I decided to quit teaching and explore the world outside the four walls of the classroom. I continue my journey in life only to find myself working as a Travel Specialist in one of the leading contact centers in the Philippines. Becoming a Certified Public Accountant is one of dreams in life. On my rest days, I am attending review classes by heart, deeply praying to get the most coveted license.

Tired of being Rich and Famous
I was once a child dreaming to be part of public media.Taking mass communication could be my stepping stone in realizing that dream. But then, the school where I got the most coveted scholarship is not offering the course I want. So,I ended up taking a course which made me sick in computing millions of billions.I graduated my Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy at the top of the class last March 22, 2006. I can never forget the look on my parent’s faces when they stepped on stage to accept my silver medal. At last, my four years of struggle in college has been rewarded.
Life after graduation wasn’t easy for me. Looking for a good job in every corner of Bohol made my head aching.Job offerings to be employed in Manila as a computer teacher and an accounting assistant knocked my door. Though, far from my family, I accepted the offer. It’s not easy to be a teacher and a student at the same time. I couldn’t imagine myself being an educator at a very young age of 20. Student life is still in my system because I studied education after my work shift. I exerted my best effort to perform my job extraordinarily well and I managed my precious time so at least to excel in all my subjects at school. For some reasons, I stopped studying and focused my mind in teaching.
One school year of molding children is more than enough to realize that just like every one else, I am looking for a greener pasture. I sacrificed my career in teaching and call it quits. I try my luck in a call center industry. Luckily, I’ve got the coveted job offer instantly.Currently, I am on the wildest ride of my life. I’m now a call center agent, a certified travel expert, they say. But I’m not stopping here, I am looking forward of taking CPA board exam in the near future. I’m planning to complete my unfinished education course or take masteral degree perhaps.
As of now, I’m tired of being rich and famous.

After Eleven Years
This is a true-to-life love story daw.
May isang teacher daw in her mid-forties na in-love daw sa isang 20 something na co-teacher din. Let’s call the girl, Ms. A and the guy, Mr. B.
Ms. A is madly, deeply in love with Mr. B for no reason at all. They’re in the same school kaya obviously, lagi silang nagkikita.Ms. A is totally concerned sa welfare ni Mr. B at ito namang si Mr. B ay parang wala lang. Sabihin na nating, the feeling is not mutual. Thinking of the age gap, parang it’s something strange.’ Kaw ba naman ma-iinlove with someone in your mother’s age range. In rare cases, di ba?Dahil kay Mr. B, bumili ng cellular phone itong si Ms. A for one and only reason–to send messages via text or even to call Mr. B.
Pag-ibig nga naman!And worst…may awayan daw’ng nangyari dahil kay Mr.B.
Ganito kasi daw ‘yon……..Umeksena kasi daw si Ms. C. Na-watch daw ni Ms. A in her two lovely eyes na k-in-iss lang naman ni Mr. B ang lovely hands ni Ms. C. Aray ko po! Jelly-jelly fish agad si Ms. A. Of course, papayag ba naman siya na maagawan? Of course not! Parang shooting sa movie. Pang- award winning actress ang dating ni Ms. A .She’s crying.
Abangan….

Nagmumura ka na ha!
The moment na napadpad ako sa call center, natuto na akong magmura which I didn’t do before when I was a teacher.
Gosh!!!
Marunong na akong mag:
“Putang-ina mo”
“Shit ka!”
“What a fuck!”
“Fuck you”
“Go to hell”
Aq ba 2?
People change, ‘di ba?

From Work to Inuman to Mass
December 7, 2007. I ended my graveyard shift around 6 am. Well, I went immediately to the PS sleeping room to sleep. I didn’t go home yet ‘coz I covered the shift of agent VDIOQUINO from 10:00 am MNL to 7:00 pm MNL. I badly needed money so, I rendered some overtime. The opportunity is there, so why not grab it?
ALMOST LATE
I woke up 10 minutes before 10 am. Gosh! I was almost late then. I went to restroom first to do something then, I proceeded immediately to my station to set up all the necessary tools in taking calls. Exactly 8:59pm CST (9:59am MNL), I logged in.AUX 3It’s Aux 3 again! My favorite! The favorite of almost all of the agents. Thanks to Supe Roma! I was exempted in taking calls for almost half day. Why? I helped some morning shifter agents in creating some decorations in the floor. It’s a great honor to be mingle with them for the first time. There are still lots of agents in the morning shift that I’m not familiar with. Sup Roma introduced me to them: “Guys, I want you to meet Earl from graveyard shift.”Taray!
ON THE WAY HOME
I was on the way home with co-agents Kathy and Mitch. It was a terrible trip! It was super traffic talaga! We’re still in Gil Puyat avenue and the traffic is- Oh my Gosh! We’re standing position inside the bus. After half an hour, we reached the LRT station. When I took the line to buy a ticket, I found out that I lost my wallet. Gosh! I was worried! Not with the amount I lost but the sentimental value of that wallet. I remembered, it was given by my student last December 2006. The amount I lost was……..charan…..barya lang…bente ata. Goodluck sa nakakakuha! Hehe
INUMAN BLUES
My hauzmate, Andrea received a phone call from an old friend inviting us for some social drinking. At first, I declined. I was tired then. But then again, si Andrea naglalambing. Midnight, we headed our way to ……… I with Andrea and her cousin. Inuman talaga ng Gilbeys. Then, smoking cigarette pa kami. Mighty ung brandname. Hehe. Then, practice pa sila panu humawak ng baril oh! Aztig talaga. Umuwi na kami no’n bandang 4 am na.
FIRST COMMUNION
I woke up the next morning around 7:30 am. Well, I prepared myself to attend mass. Andrea should be there kaya sumama na lang ako.
SLEEPING TIME AGAIN
Pag-uwi ko after the mass, kain muna taz tulog agad. Bawi muna tulog!

The Laguna Invasion-The Second Time Around
We supposed to invade the land of Bulacan. But for some reasonable reasons, we ended up heading our way to Laguna.
What a nice trip!!!!December 1, 2007. It was a very busy day for me. We arrived home with my housemate, Andrea around 3:00 PM. We came from Sir Blancia’s residence somewhere in Malabon. While Andrea’s sleeping, I headed my way to Tutuban Mall to buy some stuff there. Then, I went to Ms. Pastrana’s Residence to take all those San Mig Lite bottles and return them to the retail store beside our boarding house. At home, I prepare all the things I’ll be needing for our trip to Laguna. I supposed to attend the anticipated mass at 6:00 pm, but to no avail.
In the house was Sir Joel transformed into Joyce with her/his girly look.Josh and Kuya Dong were in the house as well. And with Andrea, they tasted some San Mig Lite. Laughs!
I received a text message from Sir Michael asking me where we are na. As I checked the time, it’s a couple of minutes before 7 pm. So, we finally headed our way to the jeepney in front of the school that would surely bring us to our destination.I have to acknowledge the late arrival of the sweethearts, Mr. Escobio & Mr. PeƱaflor. Laughs!
The trip started with a prayer. Storytelling, eating some chips, sleeping…were just some the things we did inside the jeepney while we’re travelling. We reached our destination….We’re nowhere to stay yet!!!! After the select and reject process, we ended up staying in Lynn’s Private Pool. Well, the place is quite nice. It has three separate rooms, a pool and a videoke machine.Honestly, I wasn’t in the right mood. Why?Nothing. I couldn’t even answer my own question.I felt there’s something different. Laughs
!Basta!!!! I don’t want to share the whole story!!!!

Pesteng Pag-ibig
Bakit ba kasi may pag-ibig pa?

I lost my CP
Kawawa talaga 'yong cellphone ko.
Bakit? Wala talaga. Binili ko pa 'yon gamit ang 13th month pay ko when I was a teacher. 9 months ko lang nagamit 'yon. Kaya, naawa talaga ako sa CP ko.
Sana napunta siya sa mabait na tao like me.

One More Chance
One boring afternoon, after I woke up from a deep good sleep, I received a text message from my housemate, Andrea informing me that they’ll be going to SM to watch a movie. I didn’t give even a damn care so, I headed my way to Nepa st. to buy some food and drinks. After I ate, to freshen myself, I took a bath to be ready for work. Andrea sent me a text message confirming if I could join them. Well, at first, I wasn’t interested to come for no reasonable reason at all. But with a sudden twist, I decided to go to SM San Lazaro.
At SM San Lazaro Cinema 5, we watched the movie entitled:”One More Chance” starred by Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz.
I like the story. It’s a love story, of course. Nakakakilig! Nakakaiyak! Nakakainis!
Here is the synopsis of One More Chance taken from the Philippine Entertainment Portal:
Popoy (John Lloyd Cruz) and Basha (Bea Alonzo) have been together forever.Their love story started when they met as students in a university.Popoy was taking up Engineering while Basha was a freshman in Architecture. They have been inseparable ever since-they did everything together: eating, studying and/or attending parties. Their families loved them, they shared friends, they eventually worked in the same firm and their life plans revolved around each other. There is no Popoy without Bashaa and vice versa. In short, they are certain that they would get married someday and build a home together-literally and figuratively. Architect Basha will design and plan their dream house while Engineer Popoy will be the one to build it.
Everything is perfect. At least that is what Popoy thinks. But all the planning and dreaming eventually take toll on Basha. tired of trying to carve her own mark in the firm where they are both working, she suddenly tells him that she wants to resign and move to a smaller firm where she can be given a bigger chance to design on her own. Popoy is alarmed by Basha’s sudden decision. Basha tells him the problem that has beeb brewing inside her for the past year, the real reason why she wants to leave their company-she is tired of Popoy and their relationship. She feels that Popoy is all over her and that she hasn’t been given the opportunity to decide and plan for herself because Popoy already did everything.Popoy is speechless. Inside, he is devastated. That same night, Basha asks for a breakup. She tells him she needs the space to grow-on her own.Not knowing how to pick himself up after the love of his life leaves him, Popoy stuggles to live his new life alone. Meanwhile, Basha resigns and transfers to a smaller firm where she begins to feel the freedom she’s been longing for.
Popoy and Basha try to live without each other but the ties that bind them make it harder for both to move on. Their families and friends became constant reminders of the promises and dreams they had during their happier days.Slowly, Popoy learns to pick up the pieces and discovers a life that he can call his own. But Basha’s journey proves to be more difficult, especially when she sees Popoy starting to date other girls. A part of her wants to get him back but a part also knows that she was the one who asked for this.Opportunity knocks when Popoy’s aunt commissions them to buid her house together. After feeling awkward around each other,Popoy and Basha eventually warm up.
After all, five years of being together is hard to erase. Slowly and unconciously, they fall into their old routines and find themselves enjoying each other’s company once again. Both realize how much they’ve missed each other yet both also recognize how much they’ve changed. But Popoy knows too well that giving in would mean going back to how they were before. And he’s way too scared to get in the way of Basha’s growth once again, especially now that he has seen that she can do it alone.
